Roofing for buildings that never get a day off.

Hospitals, clinics, and senior-care facilities don’t close so a contractor can be comfortable. Every project we run over a care environment is phased around procedure schedules, air intakes, and quiet hours — and documented well enough to hand to a surveyor.

01 · The stakes

Over an exam room, a leak isn’t a maintenance issue.

In most buildings, a roof leak ruins ceiling tile. Over an operating room, an imaging suite, or a sterile-supply area, it can cancel procedures, trigger infection-control reviews, and put equipment worth more than the roof out of service. The cost of water in a healthcare building has almost nothing to do with the size of the hole it came through.

That’s why our healthcare work starts earlier and documents deeper: baseline scans so you know the roof’s condition before it becomes a clinical event, work plans reviewed with facilities and infection control before a single fastener is pulled, and a written record of everything — because in this industry, if it isn’t documented, it didn’t happen.

02 · Built for the industry

What we plan around — and how we answer it.

The realities of a care environment

  • Air pathways & infection control

Rooftop intakes feed patient areas. Adhesives, torches, and dust don’t get to travel — ever.

  • Noise & vibration over patients

Tear-off over an occupied wing sounds like a demolition to the person recovering under it.

  • Equipment-dense roofs

Air handlers, exhaust stacks, med-gas lines — healthcare roofs carry more penetrations per square than any other type.

  • Compliance & survey readiness

Facilities teams answer to surveyors. Undocumented roof work becomes their problem, not ours.

How Lionstar answers

  • Pre-work air management plan

Intake mapping, isolation and low-VOC or self-adhered systems where pathways demand it — agreed with your infection-control team in writing before work starts.

  • Windowed, phased execution

Noisy work scheduled to your calendar, not ours — by wing, by hour, watertight at the end of every shift.

  • Penetration-by-penetration detailing

Every curb, stack, and line documented and detailed individually. The density is the job — we price and plan it that way.

  • A file, not a promise

Photo reports, scan data, warranties, and closeout documents packaged so they drop straight into your compliance records.

04 · Questions

Questions we hear from your desk.

Can you replace a roof over an occupied hospital or clinic?

Yes — it’s most of our healthcare work. Replacement is phased by wing and hour around your care schedule, noisy work is windowed, air intakes are mapped and protected, and every section is watertight before crews leave each day. Where odor is a concern we spec low-VOC or self-adhered systems. Your facilities team approves the phasing plan before anything starts.

How do you handle odors, fumes, and infection control?

Before work begins we map every rooftop air intake with your facilities and infection-control teams, then build the work plan around them — isolating or scheduling around intakes, and selecting low-VOC, self-adhered, or cold-applied systems where the building demands it. The plan is written, agreed, and part of your project file.

What documentation do we get for compliance and surveys?

Everything. Scan reports, daily photo logs, the air-management plan, product data, warranties, and a closeout package assembled so it can drop straight into your compliance records. If a surveyor asks what happened on your roof, the answer is a file — not a phone call to us.

Healthcare facilities

Your patients should never know we were there.

Start with a free assessment — evidence on the roof’s condition, and an honest read on what it needs. No disruption, no obligation, and a report you can keep either way.
